ABILITY TO PAY - Families must have stable, verifiable income sufficient to support a monthly mortgage payment of around $500-$600 and must not exceed the income guidelines listed below.
CREDIT CHECK - Your credit does not have to be perfect, but we do look for at least one year of stable rent and utility payments and work history.

If you qualify for the homeownership program, you will be invited to meet with the board, where you will be asked to provide proof of residency, income and additional information. Once initially approved, 50 sweat equity hours are required to be completed before moving on in the process. Every potential homeowner will be connected with a Habitat Nurturer to follow and assist them through the process. For families who qualify, it takes approximately a year and a half to complete the requirements for an interest-free Habitat home. |

The Ponca City Area Habitat for Humanity Home Repair Program is offered to qualified homeowners so that they can address needed repairs for their home. By offering home improvement in exchange for the applicant volunteering 125 hours, the program helps preserve and ensure safe, decent and affordable housing in our community. This program is open to homeowners who obtained their home through Habitat for Humanity and those who did not.
