The Ponca City Area Habitat for Humanity has a ReStore Manager position available. The position is part-time at 24 to 28 hours per week, Wednesday – Saturday, 9:00am – 2:00pm. The position supervises 2–3 individuals as well as a number of volunteers.
The Habitat ReStore sells used building materials and furniture donated by the community for reuse. The store provides material for homeowners improving their home with material that might otherwise end up in the city dump. Profits from the store are used to help finance new Habitat homes in Ponca City — over 15 homes have been built with the ReStore’s help.

ReStore Manager
The ReStore Manager reports directly to the Ponca Habitat Board of Directors and provides daily, ongoing ReStore management tasks including but not limited to:
- Opening and closing responsibilities
- Cash register, debit/credit card receipts, processing and records
- Supply inventory and management
- Directing activities for staff (2–3) and volunteers
- Responsibly recycling items as able and applicable
- Coordinating volunteer staffing
- Coordinating donation pick ups and scheduling
- Staying observant as to the safety of customers, volunteers, and others
Position qualifications
Minimum required
Proven track record of successful leadership and time management, ideally in non-profit organizations.
Skill sets desired
- Must be a self-starter and motivated to lead positively
- Demonstrates ability to successfully create and maintain trusting partnerships with diverse populations
- Excellent people skills and customer skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to work independently while also able to work well within a team
- Able to physically carry and move furniture and other heavy objects
